Product safety data sheet (form)

Click Product information management > Common > Released products. Select the item. On the Action Pane, on the Manage inventory tab, in the Compliance group, select Safety data sheet.
Use this form to create, maintain, and view product safety data sheets. These documents identify products that contain materials and substances that are regulated under various laws and agencies, such as the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA). These regulated products present potential hazards or safety risks if they are not properly handled, stored, and distributed. Requirements can vary by country, and by state or province within countries.

View or enter the name of the product safety data sheet. |
Item number |
The identification of the item that is documented in the product safety data sheet. |
Product name |
The name of the product. |
BOM |
View or select the formula or bill of material (BOM) that is associated with the product safety data sheet. If this field is blank, the document applies to all formulas and BOMs. |
Country/region |
View or select the country for which the product safety data sheet applies. If the field is blank, the document is shared by all countries. |
Short name |
The short name for the country. |
Language |
View or select the language that is associated with the product safety data sheet. If the field is blank, the document is shared by all languages. |
Approval source |
View or select the employee who approves the product safety data sheet. |
Major version |
View or enter the major version identification for the product safety data sheet. This is a required field. |
Minor version |
View or enter the minor version identification for the product safety data sheet. This is a required field. |
Approval date |
View or select the date on which the product safety data sheet is approved. Warning The approval date is used to calculate the validity interval for the product safety data sheet. This is the period that the document is valid. |
Effective date |
View or select the date when the product safety data sheet becomes effective. |
Expiry date |
View or select the date when the product safety data sheet expires. If the field is blank, the document does not expire. |
Active |
The active product safety data sheet. Note Only one product safety data sheet can be active during a period. |
Created by |
The identification of the person who created the product safety data sheet. |
Created date and time |
The date and time when the product safety data sheet was created. |
Modified date and time |
The date and time when the product safety data sheet was last updated. |
Reason for modification |
View or enter the reason for updating the product safety data sheet. |
