Rule Name

Exceeded the supported mount limit of local database copies.

Explanation

This Error event indicates that the number of database copies being mounted on a server is more than the limit that was set by the administrator for the Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 mailbox database.

For more information about database copies, see Understanding Mailbox Database Copies.

User Action

To resolve this issue, use the Move-ActiveMailboxDatabaseCopy cmdlet for one of the mounted database copies on this server.

If all of the servers that host copies of all of the databases on the server where the error occurred have also reached the set limit of mounted database copies, you must create a new database copy for one of the mounted database copies on another server in the database availability group. Then, move the activation of the database copy to the new database copy.

For More Information

If you are not already doing so, consider running the Exchange tools, which have been created to help you analyze and troubleshoot your Exchange environment. These tools can help make sure that your configuration aligns with Microsoft best practices. They can also help you identify and resolve performance issues and improve mail flow. To run these tools, go to the Toolbox node of the Exchange Management Console. To learn more about these tools, see Managing Tools in the Toolbox.
