Deleting a Configuration Package

This section provides instructions for deleting a configuration package.

To delete a configuration package

  1. In Configuration Manager console, in the left pane, expand Site Database, expand Computer Management, expand Embedded Device Management, and expand Device Configuration.

  2. Click configuration packages, right-click the package you want to delete, and click Delete. This starts the Delete Device Configuration Package Wizard.

  3. On the Welcome page, confirm that the package that is displayed is the package that you are deleting. If it is the correct package, click Next.

  4. On the Deletion Effects page, select one of the following options, and then click Next:

    • Yes. I want to see more information. Selecting this option takes you to step 5 below.
    • No. I know that I want to delete this package. Selecting this option takes you to step 8 below.
  5. On the Programs page, review any programs that are listed for deletion, and then click Next.

  6. On the Advertisements page, review any advertisements that are listed for deletion, and then click Next.

  7. On the Delete Confirmation page, select one of the following options, and then click Next:

    • Yes. Delete the package.
    • No. Do not delete the package.
  8. On the Confirmation page, confirm that the Delete Device Configuration Package Wizard successfully completed, and then click Finish to delete the package. Click Cancel to cancel the delete operation.
