Rule Name

A required log file is missing on the active copy. Continuous replication is blocked for this database.

Explanation

This Error event indicates that the Microsoft Exchange Replication (MSExchangeRepl) service blocked replication for the database on the passive node because a log file on the active node is missing.

The passive database copy is blocked at the current level of content and cannot progress by using any later log files until MSExchangeRepl can copy and replay the missing log file.

User Action

Restore the missing log file to its correct location. After the file is restored, run the Resume-MailboxDatabaseCopy cmdlet to resume replication to the database copy on the passive node.

For more information about how to resume replication, see Resume-MailboxDatabaseCopy.

For More Information

If you are not already doing so, consider running the Exchange tools, which have been created to help you analyze and troubleshoot your Exchange environment. These tools can help make sure that your configuration aligns with Microsoft best practices. They can also help you identify and resolve performance issues and improve mail flow. To run these tools, go to the Toolbox node of the Exchange Management Console. To learn more about these tools, see Managing Tools in the Toolbox.
