Open vendor invoices (list page)

Click Accounts payable > Common > Vendor invoices > Open vendor invoices.

Use this list page to view and modify open vendor invoices.

The following table provides descriptions of controls that differ from the controls in the Vendor transactions form. For information about the other controls on this page, see Vendor transactions (form).

Description

Invoice

Open a menu that contains the following items:

  • Vendor invoice – Create or update vendor invoices.

  • Invoice pool excluding posting – Enter information about vendor invoices when you receive them. Typically, you would do this if your organization requires that another user approve the invoices before they are posted.

  • Invoice register – Enter and post vendor invoices.

  • Invoice approval journal – Post invoices that have been entered in an invoice pool.

  • Invoice journal – Record a vendor invoice without using the approval journal.

Settle open transactions

Open the Settle open transactions form, where you can view open vendor transactions and mark them for settlement.

Closed transaction editing

Open the Closed transaction editing in several currencies form, where you can view closed, or settled, transactions for the selected vendor account. You can also use this form to reverse a settlement.

Payment journal

Open the Payment journal form, where you can enter and post payments to vendors, based on the terms of payment that you have established with each vendor.

Transactions

Open the Vendor transactions form, where you can view all transactions for the selected vendor. These transactions include invoices and payments.

Charges

Open the Charges transactions form, where you can create, change, and inquire into charges that are specified for the current invoice. You can add charges manually, or you can set up charges so that they are generated automatically.

Adjustments

Open the Allocate charges form, where you can divide charges among multiple lines on a vendor invoice.

Posted sales tax

Open the Posted sales tax form, where you can view sales tax transactions that have been posted. You can sort transactions by sales tax code and use the list to identify errors.

View

Open a menu that contains the following items:

  • Copy – View the selected invoice by using the print management setting for a copy of a document.

  • Original – View the selected invoice by using the print management setting for an original document.

Print management

Print the current invoice by using the original print management settings.

Analyze data

Open the Power View report designer, where you can create a report. For more information, see Create a report by using Power View to connect to a cube.

Fields

Field

Description

Vendor account

The vendor account number.

Name

The name that is associated with the vendor account.

Due date

The due date of the transaction.

Amount not settled

The amount, in the transaction currency, that is not yet settled.

Invoice amount

The invoice amount.

Payment hold

The type of hold that is in effect for the selected invoice.

  • Blank – No holds are in effect for the selected invoice.

  • Vendor – All payments for the selected vendor are on hold. To clear the hold, open the Vendors form, click On hold on the Action Pane, and then select No in the Vendor hold field.

  • Invoice – All payments for the selected invoice are on hold. To clear the hold, open the Vendor transactions form, click the General tab, and then clear the value in the Invoice payment release date field.

  • Vendor, invoice – All payments for the selected vendor, and all payments for the selected invoice, are on hold.
