Open customer invoices (list page)

Click Accounts receivable > Common > Customer invoices > Open customer invoices.

Use this list page to view and modify open customer invoices.

Note

When you double-click an invoice on this list page, the form that opens depends on the origin of the customer invoice:

  • Customer invoices for sales orders – The Customer transactions form opens.

  • Free text invoices – The Free text invoice form opens.

  • Customer invoices that were entered in a journal – The General journal form opens.

The following table provides descriptions of controls that differ from the controls in the Customer transactions form. For information about the other controls on this page, see Customer transactions (form).

Description

Payment journal

Open the Payment journal form, where you can enter and post payments from customers.

Settle open transactions

Open the Settle open transactions form, where you can view open customer transactions and mark them for settlement.

Closed transaction editing

Open the Closed transaction editing in several currencies form, where you can view closed, or settled, transactions for the selected customer account. You can also use the form to reverse a settlement.

New collection letters

Open the Creation of collection letter form, where you can generate collection letter note proposals and new collection letter codes for customer accounts that have open transactions for which the due date has passed.

Print/Post letters

Open the Print/Post letters form, where you can modify, print, and post the collection letters that you generated in the Creation of collection letter form.

New interest note

Open a menu that contains the following items:

  • Customer – Open the Interest calculation form, where you can calculate interest on all open transactions for the selected customer.

  • Invoice – Open the Interest calculation form, where you can calculate interest for the selected invoice.

Print/Post interest notes

Open the Interest note form, where you can modify, print, and update the interest note proposals that you generated in the Interest calculation form.

Write off

Create write-off transactions for the selected invoice.

Invoice

Open a form where you can view information about the selected invoice. The form that opens depends on the origin of the customer invoice:

  • Customer invoices for sales orders – The Customer transactions form opens.

  • Free text invoices – The Free text invoice form opens.

  • Customer invoices that were entered in a journal – The General journal form opens.

Transactions

Open the Customer transactions form, where you can view transactions that are posted to the selected customer account.

Payments

Open the Customer settlement form, where you can view the history for the payments that the customer has made on the selected invoice.

Interest notes

Open the Customer transactions form, where you can view interest notes for the selected invoice.

Collection letters

Open the Customer transactions form, where you can view collection letters for the selected invoice.

Free text invoice

Open the Free text invoice form, where you can create a free text invoice.

Shipments

Open the Shipping specification form, where you can view shipping information for the selected invoice.

Bill of lading

Open the Bill of lading form, where you can view, modify, and create bills of lading for the selected invoice.

Vouchers

Open the Voucher transactions form, where you can view voucher transactions by journal number and posting date.

Totals

Open the Totals form, where you can view historical totals for the current invoice. You cannot modify the information in this form.

Commission transactions

Open the Commission transactions form, where you can view details about the commission transactions that were calculated for each employee when the selected invoice was generated.

Charges

Open the Charges transactions form, where you can view charges that are specified for the selected invoice.

Posted sales tax

Open the Posted sales tax form, where you can view sales tax transactions that have been posted.

Synchronize batch/serial numbers

This button is available if the customer invoice is related to an intercompany sales order.

Invoice posting

This button is available if the customer invoice is related to an intercompany sales order.

View

Open a menu that contains the following items:

  • Copy – View the selected invoice by using the print management setting for a copy of a document.

  • Original – View the selected invoice by using the print management setting for an original document.

Send

Open a menu that contains the following items:

  • Copy – Send the selected invoice electronically by using the print management setting for a copy of a document.

  • Original – Send the selected invoice electronically by using the print management setting for an original document.

Print

Open a menu that contains the following items:

  • Selected – Print the selected invoice.

  • Range – Open the Print customer invoice form, where you can select and print a range of invoices.

Analyze data

Open the Power View report designer, where you can create a report. For more information, see Create a report by using Power View to connect to a cube.

Fields

Field

Description

Customer account

The customer account number.

Name

The party name that is associated with the customer account.

Interest

The total amount of interest that is assessed on the invoice.

Payments

The total amount that the customer has paid on the invoice.

Amount not settled

The amount, in the transaction currency, that is not yet settled.
