Invoke-ProcessCube cmdlet

Process a cube using a specific processing type variable.

Syntax

Invoke-ProcessCube [-Name] <System.String> [-Database] <System.String> [-ProcessType] <Microsoft.AnalysisServices.ProcessType> [<CommonParameters>]

Invoke-ProcessCube –DatabaseCube <Microsoft.AnalysisServices.Cube> [-ProcessType] <Microsoft.AnalysisServices.ProcessType> [<CommonParameters>]

Description

The Invoke-ProcessCube cmdlet processes a cube to the level you specify. For example, ProcessFull overwrites existing data with all new data. When processing a cube, you must specify the processing type. For more information, see Processing Options and Settings (Analysis Services).

This command pipes in the identity of the cube to be processed.

Example 2

PS SQL SERVER:\sqlas\locahost\default > Invoke-ProcessCube “Adventure Works” –database AWTEST –ProcessType:ProcessDefault

This command processes the Adventure Works cube in the AWTEST database.
