Although PowerPivot data is used mostly in Excel pivot reports, you can also use a PowerPivot workbook as a data model for interactive reports that you build in Power View. Power View is a model-driven Reporting Services report designer that runs in SharePoint. If you have SQL Server 2012 Reporting Services (SSRS) and SharePoint 2010, you can build Power View reports using PowerPivot workbooks as the data model.
