Click Retail > Setup > Bar codes and labels > Bar codes.

Use this form to create bar codes for specific products. Products can have more than one bar code. For example, a product may have multiple bar codes if the product comes from various manufacturers, or if it has size, style, or color variants.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Tabs

Tab	Description
Overview	Specify the variant number, product number and product details.
General	Specify the bar code, bar code setup, and product dimensions.

Buttons

Button	Description
New	Add a new bar code for a specific product.
Product section location	Open the Product section location form, where you can specify the section of the store where the product that is assigned to the bar code is located.
Create bar codes from number sequence	Create a bar code for a product by using number sequences. You can also use this button to create bar codes for products that are imported from a vendor.
Create/Update bar codes	Create or update the bar code for the selected product.
Dimensions display	Open the Dimensions display form, where you can select the dimensions that are displayed on the Overview tab of the Item - bar code form.

Fields

Field	Description
Variant number	The variant IDs for the selected product. You can use this field to create variant bar codes for a product.
Display	Select the check box to display the selected bar code on the Retail FastTab of the Released product details form.
Item number	Select the product to create the bar code for.
Configuration	The configuration dimension for the product.
Size	The size of the product. This information is used when the bar code is created.
Color	The color of the product. This information is used when the bar code is created.
Style	The style of the product. This information is used when the bar code is created.
Bar code setup	Select the bar code setup. The setup specifies the type of bar code, and information about the font, size, and mask that are used.
Scanning	Select the check box if the bar code is used for scanning.
Print	Select the check box if the bar code is used to print receipts or labels.
Bar code	The digits that are formed as a set of combinations that identify the product. These digits are known collectively as the bar code of an item.
