POS terminal receipt printing (form)

Click Retail > Setup > POS > POS registers. On the Action Pane, in the New group, click Register. Then, in the POS registers form, on the Action Pane, in the Setup grid, click Receipt printing.

Use this form to set up options for the receipts that are printed on a point of sale (POS) register.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Configure parameters for the text that appears on a receipt that is printed on the POS register.

Top

Enter the text that appears at the top of a receipt that is printed on the POS register. You can also indicate the alignment of the text.

Bottom

Enter the text that appears at the bottom of a receipt that is printed on the POS register. You can also indicate the alignment of the text.

Description

Maximum receipt text length

Enter the maximum number of characters that the text that appears on the receipt can contain.

Number of top and bottom lines

Enter the maximum number of lines of text that can appear at the top and bottom of the receipt.

Product ID on receipt

Select how the product ID appears on the receipt. Select one of the following options:

  • None – Do not include the item identifier on the receipt.

  • Product number – Include the item identifier on the receipt.

  • Bar code/Product number – Include both the item identifier and the item’s bar code on the receipt.

Receipt text

Enter the text that appears at the top or bottom of the receipt. The text that you enter is constrained by the settings on the User tab.

Logo alignment

If a logo is included on the receipt, specify whether the logo is aligned with the left side, right side, or center of the receipt.

Wide

Select this check box to match the width of the text that appears at the top or bottom of the receipt to the width of the receipt.

High

Select this check box to align the text that appears at the top or bottom of the receipt with the top of the section that contains the text.

Bold

Select this check box to display the text that appears at the top or bottom of the receipt in bold font.
