Click System administration > Setup > Business intelligence > Analysis Services > Date dimensions.
Use this form to create date dimensions. You can use date dimensions to analyze the data in a cube by various time periods, such as months, quarters, or weeks.
The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Enter a name for the date dimension. |
| BI dimension label | Enter a label for the date dimension. |
| Start date | Enter a starting date for the date range. The date range that you define determines the records that you can analyze by using cubes. |
| End date | Enter an ending date for the date range. The date range that you define determines the records that you can analyze by using cubes. |
| From month | Select the first month of your calendar. |
| First day of week | Select the first day of the week. |
| Include | Select the date hierarchies by which to analyze data. |
| BI date dimension hierarchy list | Time periods by which you can analyze data. |
