Button grids (form) [AX 2012]

Click Retail > Setup > POS > Button grids.

Use this form to set up a button grid. A button grid creates groups of buttons that have similar functions, such as buttons that are used for products, operations, and payments.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

General

Define general settings for the button grid.

Button

Description

Designer

Open a form where you can create the various screen layouts that are used on registers. You can create layouts only if you have been granted special permissions to the database. For more information, see "Deploy Microsoft SQL Server" in the Deployment and Installation Guide.

Copy

Duplicate the selected record.

Field

Description

Button grid ID

Assign a unique identifier to the configuration for the button grid. Up to five button grids can be attached to each screen layout.

Name

The name of the button grid.

Font

The font that is used for the selected button grid.

Default font size

The default font size that is used for the selected button grid.

Default font style

The default font style that is used for the selected button grid.

Default color

The default font color that is used for the selected button grid. The available colors are:

  • Blue

  • Dark blue

  • Red

  • Green

  • Purple

  • Pink

  • Gold

Space between buttons

The number of blank characters that are inserted between adjacent buttons in the selected button grid.

Button grid

The ID of the button that is used.
