Sections (form)

Click Retail > Common > Retail channels > Retail stores. On the Retail stores list page, select a store. Then, on the Set up tab, on the Action Pane, in the Set up group, click Sections.

Use this form to set up sections for a store. Sections represent the physical structure to which you can assign retail products in each store. By specifying the size of each section, and by assigning retail products to appropriate sections in each store, you can collect section-level sales statistics.

Tabs

Tab	Description
General	Specify information about product stock.
Sale statistics	Specify information about totals for product sales.

Buttons

Button	Description
Shelves	Open the Shelves form, where you can view information about the shelves that are contained in the store section.
Product list	Open the Product section location form, where you can view information about the location of individual products.
Product group list	Open the Product group section location form, where you can view information about the location of product groups. Note This control is not available if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 or AX 2012 R3 is installed.

Fields

Field	Description
Name	The name of the store.
Section number	The unique identifier of the section of the store.
Description	Freeform descriptive text about the section.
Section size	The area or length of the retail section.
Size unit	The unit of measure that is used for the Section size field. For example, the unit for sections that are measured by area can be square meters, and the unit for sections that are measured by length can be meters.
Last checked stock	The date that the stock levels in the store section were last checked.
Sold quantity	The sum of units that have been sold for the store section.
Net amount	The sum of net sale amounts for the store section.
Cash discount amount	The sum of discounts that can be given for purchases in the store section.
