Database profiles (form) [AX 2012]

Click Retail > Setup > Retail scheduler > Channel integration > Database profiles.

Use this form to set up a database profile for a retail store database. The settings that you select for a database profile determine how Microsoft Dynamics AX communicates with the database at a store or register.

This form is not available if Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 is installed.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Copy

Create a duplicate of the selected database profile.

Test connection

Test the connection string for the selected database.

Field

Description

Name

Enter a unique name for the database profile.

Version

Select the version of Microsoft SQL Server that you installed for this database.

Server name

Enter the name of the database server.

Database name

Enter the name of the database that is used for this store or register.

Encrypt database connection

Select this check box to use the encrypted connection option in SQL Server for this database connection.

Commerce Data Exchange: Synch Service

Select a Synch Service profile for this database connection.
