Worker (form) (Retail)

Click Retail > Common > Workers. Select a worker. Then, on the Action Pane, click Edit.

Click Human resources > Common > Workers > Workers. Select a worker. Then, on the Action Pane, click Edit.

Use this form to maintain information about a retail worker. A worker can be either a contractor or an employee in your legal entity or organization.

Set up the options for the retail worker.

Transactions

Open the Transactions form, where you can view a list of transactions that the worker has entered in the point of sale (POS) system.

POS permissions

Open the POS permissions form, where you can view the POS permissions that are assigned to the worker, if POS permissions are overridden at the position level. POS permissions are defined at the job level. The POS permissions can be overridden at the position level only if the Override permissions check box is selected.

Address books

Select an address book that the worker is affiliated with. Address books control which stores a retail worker can log in to. A worker’s address books must include an address book for the store.

Layout ID

The screen layout for POS registers that is assigned to the worker. You can define a screen layout for a specific register, store, or worker.

Language

Select the language that the worker uses at a register.

Employment type

The worker’s role in the store.

Continue on Real-time Service errors

Select this check box to indicate that the worker can log in, even when connectivity with the transaction service generates an error.

Name on receipt

Enter the name of the worker that is printed on customer receipts. A short name can be entered if the POS receipt has limited space. This field is required.

Password

The password that the worker uses to log in to the POS system.

Block POS login

Select this check box to prevent the worker from logging in to the POS system.
