Screen layouts (form)

Click Retail > Setup > POS > Screen layouts.
Use this form to set up a screen layout that is used by the point of sale (POS) registers. The screen layout specifies the position of various objects. For example, the screen layout specifies the total layout, item grid layout, customer layout, and payment layout. The screen layout also specifies the location of various menu buttons and the overall appearance of the sales interface for Microsoft Dynamics AX for Retail POS that is displayed to the worker.

Designer |
Open the Screen layout designer form to create the screen layout. For more information about how to design a screen layout, see Design a screen layout. |
Duplicate |
Copy the values from a selected screen layout to create a new screen layout. Then assign a unique layout ID to the new layout. |

Enter an ID number for the screen layout. |
Width and Height |
Enter a combination of a width and height to specify a screen resolution. Note These settings only affect the resolution of the Screen layout designer form, not the resolution that is displayed in Retail POS. The size of the Retail POS screen depends on the resolution of the monitor. |
Button grid 1 through Button grid 5 |
Select the IDs of the button grids to include in the layout. For more information about how to set up a button grid, see Set up a button grid |
