Updated: October 12, 2012

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack

Click Retail > Setup > Category hierarchies > Supplemental retail hierarchies. On the Supplemental retail hierarchies list page, in the New group, click Category hierarchy to create a new category hierarchy. To modify an existing category hierarchy, double-click the category hierarchy in the list then click Edit.

Use this form to set up supplemental retail hierarchies that are used in addition to the core retail product hierarchy. You can create supplemental retail hierarchies to categorize groups of products for product management, pricing and promotions, or reporting. You can include a product in one or more supplemental retail hierarchies. Supplemental retail hierarchies must be assigned to the Supplemental retail hierarchy category type.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.
