Commerce Server Solution Storefront
The Solution Storefront is a fully functioning, out of the box e-commerce site that helps businesses get up and running quickly. The Solution Storefront delivers key e-commerce features including: e-commerce site browsing, search capability, site map, profile management and registration, address lists, lists, cart and mini-cart, order review, checkout, advertisements and discounts, order history, plus Windows Live ID and Bing Maps integration.
In addition to the above-mentioned key features, the Solution Storefront provides support for mobile devices through the use of cascading style sheets (CSS). The Solution Storefront uses a client detection mechanism to determine whether to render either the mobile or desktop version of the Solution Storefront. Appropriate styling is then applied to the site based on the type of client detected.
When you deploy the Solution Storefront, the SharePoint Commerce Services Configuration utility creates the site collection with the applicable template to implement the Solution Storefront. The Solution Storefront allows site designers to quickly customize the site to apply your company's branding.
