Gantt chart views (form)

Click Organization administration > Common > Resources > Gantt charts. Click Gantt, select a start date, and click OK. In the Gantt chart form, click Setup > Views.

Use this form to define the criteria for grouping and sorting the information that is displayed in a Gantt chart. The grouping criteria are in a fixed hierarchical order.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Order view

Define grouping criteria for displaying jobs that are grouped by order status.

You can filter by order to display an overview of the jobs that are scheduled for a particular production order. For the Order view, the grouping hierarchy is as follows:

  1. Site

  2. Order status

  3. Order number

  4. Production unit

  5. Resource group

  6. Resource

  7. Operation/activity

Resource view

Define grouping criteria for displaying jobs that are grouped by operations resource.

You can also filter by resource to display an overview of the jobs that are scheduled for a particular operations resource. For the Resource view, the grouping hierarchy is as follows:

  1. Site

  2. Production unit

  3. Resource group

  4. Resource

  5. Order status

  6. Order number

  7. Operation/activity

Select this check box to group information by site.

Production unit

Select this check box to group information by production unit.

Resource group

Select this check box to group information by resource group.

Resource

Select this check box to group information by operations resource.

Order status

Select this check box to group information by order status.

Order number

Select this check box to group information by order number.

Operation/activity

Select this check box to group information by operation for production orders and planned production orders, and to group information by activity for projects.

Show summary bar

Select this check box to display a summary task bar that displays the full duration of a particular order, operation, or activity. An order, operation, or activity can be composed of several jobs.

Show delivery date

Select this check box to display the delivery date as an actual date and as a milestone symbol.

Groups initially collapsed

Select this check box to display the information that is contained in each node on one line. This setting is applied when a Gantt chart is opened for the first time, or after you select this check box and click OK or Apply. If the check box is cleared, the information for each node appears expanded.
