Export Metaverse Schema to File

For this procedure, in Metaverse Designer, you can export a metaverse schema to file. This can be helpful when you want to export a known-good metaverse schema to be used for emergency recovery or to be imported on another server. The metaverse schema defines metaverse object types and attributes. To complete this procedure, you must be logged on as a member of the FIMSyncAdmins security group.

The procedure title

  1. On the Tools menu, click Metaverse Designer.

  2. On the Actions menu, click Export Metaverse Schema.

  3. Type a file name, and then click Save.

Note

Metaverse schemas are exported to file in XML format and they have an .xml file name extension.

To export the entire server configuration, including the metaverse schema, use the Export Server Configuration command. For more information, see See Also.
