Detailed Description

Note: This cmdlet is deprecated and might be removed in a future release. We recommend that you do not use this cmdlet.

The Mount-IscsiVirtualDiskSnapshot cmdlet mounts a snapshot locally. This cmdlet operates on snapshots in the virtual disk 1.0 (VHD) format only.

Mounting a snapshot locally exposes the snapshot as a disk to the local computer. Use diskmgmt.msc or cmdlets to bring the disk online.

-ComputerName<String>

Specifies the computer name, or IP address, of the remote computer, if this cmdlet is run on a remote computer.

Specifies the cluster resource group network name, or cluster node name, if this cmdlet is run on a cluster configuration.

Example 2: Mount a snapshot by using a name

This example mounts the Snapshot object stored in a variable named $VhdSnapshot on the local server, which can be accessed by the backup server to perform backup.
