(IND) Calculate VAT for various purchase types [AX 2012]

Updated: October 10, 2012

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2

Value Added Tax (VAT) can be calculated for various purchase types in a purchase order. If the VAT goods type is Input goods, the VAT amount is calculated and posted to the VAT recoverable account.

If the transaction is for capital goods, the VAT amount is calculated and posted to the VAT deferred account and the VAT deferment installments are created, based on the deferment schedule set up for the Tax Identification Number (TIN).
