(IND) Withholding tax settlement periods (form) [AX 2012]

Click General ledger > Setup > Withholding tax > India > Withholding tax settlement periods.

Use this form to create and manage the withholding tax settlement periods that the company uses when reporting withholding tax for Tax Collected at Source (TCS) or Tax Deducted at Source (TDS). You can also view the TCS or TDS transactions for each settlement period and for each period within a settlement period.

General

Specify the period interval with the number of units for the withholding tax settlement period.

Periods

Create periods for the withholding tax settlement.

Button

Description

Withholding tax payment

Open the Withholding tax payment form to view the withholding tax payment transactions.

Withholding tax transactions

Open the Withholding tax transactions form to view the details of the TCS or TDS transactions that were settled for a specific settlement period.

New period

Create a new settlement period.

Field

Description

Tax type

Select the tax type for the withholding tax settlement period from the following options:

  • TDS

  • TCS

Settlement period

Enter the code for the settlement period.

Description

Enter the name of the settlement period as it should appear on reports.

The name often appears along with the code of the withholding tax settlement period.

Withholding tax authority

Select or view the withholding tax authority that taxes are reported to and paid to for the withholding tax settlement period.

Period interval

Select the period interval, which is one of the values that determines the periods of the withholding tax settlement period, from the following options:

  • Months

  • Days

  • Years

Number of units

Select the number of the period unit, which is defined in the Period interval field, which defines the periods of the selected withholding tax settlement period. The length of each period that is created on the Periods tab is the period interval, multiplied by the number of units.

From date

Select the first day of the first period in the withholding tax settlement period.

To date

Select the last day of a period interval.
