Use this form to import rules for code conflicts during upgrade on a Microsoft Dynamics AX target system. Code conflict rules enable fast, automated resolution of code conflicts that are introduced by new versions of Microsoft Dynamics AX. A grid in the form displays information about rules that were previously imported. You can also use this form to delete rules.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

File name

The name and path of a DLL that contains rules.

Button

Description

Browse...

Browse to a DLL that contains rules that you want to load.

Import rules

Load the selected DLL that contains rules.

Delete

Delete rules that are selected in the grid.

Column

Description

Rule author

The originator of the rule. For the default rules that are included with Microsoft Dynamics AX, the author is Microsoft Corporation.

Rule description

A verbose description of the issue that the rule addresses.

Rule name

A short identifier of the rule.

Target version

The version of Microsoft Dynamics AX that is targeted by the rule.

Rule category

The rule category from the Manage code upgrade rules form. For more information, see Code upgrade rule configuration (form).
