Benefit accrual balances (form)

Click Payroll > Inquiries > Benefit accrual balances.

Use this form to view benefit accrual plan balances, such as vacation or sick time, for all workers. The balance is displayed for the plan year that started on the date that is displayed in the Plan year start field.

There are two ways to view benefit accrual plan balances for a specific worker.

  • In this form: Press CTRL+G, click in the Worker filter field, type a first name followed by an asterisk, and press Enter. For example, enter diane*.

  • In the Benefit accruals form: Click Human resources > Common > Workers > Workers. Select a worker, click Personal information, and then click Benefit accruals. For more information, see Benefit accruals (form).

Tip

If you filter information in the grid by using CTRL+G, you can highlight the filter criteria, press the Backspace or Delete key, and then press the Enter key to clear the filter. For more information, see Advanced filtering and query options.

Grid headings

Information

Worker

The name of the worker whose benefit accrual plan balances are displayed.

Benefit accrual plan

The name of the benefit accrual plans that the worker is enrolled in.

Note

Only benefit accrual plans for the legal entity that you are currently logged on to are available.

Plan year start

The date when the plan year started.

Carry forward

The number of hours that were carried forward from the previous plan year to the current plan year. This amount includes both the hours that were carried over automatically and any manual adjustments that were made.

If the plan does not have a starting date, then all manual carry-forward transactions for the plan are included, regardless of the date of the transactions.

Plan year accrued

The number of hours that have accrued in the plan during the current plan year. This amount includes both the hours that were recorded automatically and any manual adjustments that were made.

If the plan does not have a starting date, then all hours that the worker has ever accrued in the plan are included, regardless of the date of the transactions.

Plan year used

The number of hours that have been used from the plan during the current plan year. This amount includes both the hours that were recorded automatically and any manual adjustments that were made.

If the plan does not have a starting date, then all hours that the worker has ever used from the plan are included, regardless of the date of the transactions.

Pending usage

The number of hours that are in earning statement lines that have been released, but have not been submitted for payment.

Available

The balance that is available for the worker to use.
