In the Czech Republic, tax legislation allows only the following two depreciation methods:

  • The Accelerated method

Fields

Field

Description

Method

Select the method that is used for depreciation.

The Regular CZ method is defined by:

  • The depreciation year and period frequency.

  • The depreciation percentages for the year of acquisition or the first year.

  • The depreciation percentages for the years after the first year.

  • The depreciation percentage for the years after the asset has been extended and after an acquisition adjustment.

Important

The depreciation percentages are determined by law.

The Accelerated CZ method uses a coefficient instead of a yearly depreciation percentage.

A different coefficient is defined for:

  • The year of acquisition or the first year.

  • The years after the first year.

  • The years after an asset has been extended after an acquisition adjustment.
