(CZE) Sales tax groups (modified form)

Click General ledger > Setup > Sales tax > Sales tax groups.
Use this form to create and manage the sales tax groups that determine how sales tax and duty are calculated for customers, vendors, or ledger accounts.
Sales tax rates are frequently based on the kind of business transaction that occurs and the geographic location of the transaction. Therefore, customers or vendors who have similar tax requirements are assigned the same sales tax group. Sales tax groups contain the appropriate sales tax codes, so customers who have different tax profiles are assigned different sales tax groups. For example, domestic and foreign customers are sometimes taxed at different rates and require different sales tax groups, and some customers are exempt from sales tax.
The sales tax groups are associated with sales tax codes. For some organizations in the US, they are associated with sales tax jurisdictions that contain the sales tax codes.
For purchases in the European Union (EU), you must create a sales tax group that includes both a positive sales tax code and a negative sales tax code. For more information, see (CZE) Set up sales tax codes for intra-community VAT.
