Click Fixed assets > Journals > Depreciation book journal.

Use this form to create, update, or delete depreciation books. You can create an unlimited number of books. Each depreciation book must have a unique identifier.

Depreciation is the allocation of the cost of an asset over time for accounting and tax purposes. You can use depreciation books to calculate depreciation for a group of assets.

Rounding method

Select the rounding method to use for the amount that is entered in the Round off depreciation field:

  • Normal – Round the amount to the nearest unit that is specified in the Round off depreciation field.

  • Downward – Round the amount down to the nearest unit that is specified in the Round off depreciation field.

  • Rounding-up – Round the amount up to the nearest unit that is specified in the Round off depreciation field.
