Use this form to set up parameters for Fixed assets.

Companies Act depreciation |
Select this check box to activate the depreciation per company act. |
Min. working days for seasonal industries |
Enter the number of days to calculate depreciation for seasonal industries. |
Min. working days for non-seasonal industries |
Enter the number of days to computer deprecation for non-seasonal industries. |
Max. acquisition value to avail full depreciation |
Enter the acquisition amount for assets that have an acquisition cost that is less than or equal to the value in this field. This amount will be used to depreciate the asset. For example, if you enter 5,000 in the Max. acquisition value to avail full depreciation field and the acquisition price for the asset is 4,000, the asset will be depreciated using 5,000. Note This field applies to assets that have Straight line service life or Reducing balance selected in the Method field in the Depreciation profiles form. |

Select this check box to activate the depreciation per income tax act. |
Asset group depreciation threshold |
Enter the maximum number of days that the asset can be used before depreciation is calculated. Depreciation is calculated as follows: If all assets in the fixed asset group have been used for more days than the days that are defined in this field during the year, Depreciation = (Net book value of the fixed asset group) * (Rate of depreciation defined for the depreciation profile) If any of the assets in the fixed asset group have been used for less than or equal to the days defined in this field, depreciation is calculated in two steps:

Depreciation threshold percentage |
Enter the depreciation percentage that must be used for assets that are in use for less than the number of days entered in the Asset group depreciation threshold field. |
