(BRA) Open or close term (form)

Click General ledger > Setup > Open or close term.

Use this form to set up open and close terms for a legal accounting report. For more information, see (BRA) Page and book control for legal accounting reports.

(BRA) Set up and generate open and close terms for a legal accounting report

The following table provides descriptions for the controls in this form.

Fields

Field

Description

Term code

Enter a code for the open or close term. For example, OT for open term or CT for close term.

Description

Enter a short description for the term code.

Text

Enter the text to be displayed in the legal accounting reports. For example, Term 1 to indicate the term. You can also enter one or more of the following variables:

  • %1 – The accounting book number

  • %2 – The number of pages in the accounting book

  • %3 – The name of the company

  • %4 – The address of the company

  • %5 – The Cadastro Nacional da Pessoa Jurídica (CNPJ)/ Cadastro de Pessoas Físicas (CPF) number of the company

  • %6 – The Inscrição estadual (IE) number of the company

The variables are replaced with the corresponding values when the legal accounting reports are printed. For example, if the name of the company is Contoso Ltd, Term 1, %3 is replaced with Term 1, Contoso Ltd in the reports.

Note

The %1 and %2 variables are replaced with values specified in the Book number and Page fields in the Print open or close term, Day book, and Financial statement reports. The %3, %4, %5, and %6 variables are replaced with values specified in the Name, Address, CNPJ/CPF, and IE fields in the Legal entities form.
