Click Production control > Setup > Absorption costs > Journal names.

Use this form to create the cost absorption journal names for indirect costs.

Task that uses this form

The following table provides descriptions for the controls in this form.

Field	Description
Name	Enter the journal name.
Journal type	The default journal type that is used for absorption costs. The default journal type is Indirect costs.
Description	Enter a brief description for the journal.
Voucher series	Select the number sequence code to use for the journal.
Selection by	Select one of the following options to indicate the method to use to assign a voucher number to a journal line: Entry – A voucher number is assigned when you create a line. Posting – A voucher number is assigned after you post the line.
Detail level	Select one of the following options to indicate the level of detail to include in the cost absorption journal: Details – Generate a detailed cost absorption journal. Summary – Generate a summarized cost absorption journal.
Delete lines after posting	Select this check box to delete the journal lines that are posted.
Private for user group	Select the user group for which the journal is private.
