(IND) Attach tariff codes to items

You can use the Released products form to attach an item tax group and an excise tariff code to excisable items to calculate excise duties. You cannot attach the excise tariff code to items of type Service.

This topic has not been fully updated for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2.

  1. Click Product information management > Common > Released products. On the Action Pane, in the Maintain group, click Edit.

  2. Click the Purchase FastTab.

  3. Select the item tax group for the item in the Item sales tax group field.

  4. Click the Sell FastTab.

  5. Select the item tax group for the item in the Item sales tax group field.

  6. Click the General FastTab.

  7. Select the tariff code for the item in the Excise tariff code field.

    Note

    If you have attached an excise tariff code to the item in the Released products form, you will not be able to delete that excise tariff code in the Excise tariff code form.
