(RUS) Kinds of by-product (form)

Click Production control > Setup > Kinds of by-product.

Use this form to enter the type of by-product, and to specify the general ledger account number that is used to write off the cost of the scrap after receiving it from production.

The following table provides descriptions for the controls in this form.

Fields

Description

Kind of by-product

Enter the type of by-product.

Name

Enter a description for the type of by-product.

Defective product

Select this check box if the by-product is a defective product.

Scrap

Select this check box to write off the cost of defective product after receiving it from production.

Note

Warehouse, Loss account, and Loss account (physical) fields are available when you select this check box.

Costing rule

Select the cost calculation rule to use to calculate the cost of by-products or defective products. The following options are available:

  • Fixed price – The cost is calculated based on the value in the Released products form.

  • Calculated price – The cost is calculated based on the production order cost calculation method in the Production control parameters form.

  • By-product – The cost is calculated based on the cost calculation rule selected in the By-product form.

Warehouse

Enter the warehouse to use to store the scrap.

Loss account

Select the general ledger account to use to write off the cost of the scrap.

Loss account (physical)

Select the offset account to use to update the quantity of scrap that is issued.
