Catalogs (list page) (Retail)

Click Retail > Common > Catalogs > Catalogs.

Use this list page to create, modify, or delete retail product catalogs. Retail product catalogs let you identify the products that you want to offer in your online stores. Publish the catalogs to make the products available in the online stores.

Create a retail product catalog.

Copy

Create a copy of an existing catalog.

Delete

Delete the catalog. If a catalog has been submitted for review, approved, or published, or if it has expired, it cannot be deleted.

Validate catalog

Validate the catalog to make sure that all the required data is included and is valid. After you have entered all the required data, you must validate the catalog before you can publish it. The validation process identifies any warnings or errors in the catalog.

Publish

Publish the catalog to the selected online stores to make the products available in those online stores. You can publish either the whole catalog or only products that have changed since the last publication date.

Note

A catalog must be approved before you can publish it.

Activate

Activate the catalog to make it available for processing.

Inactivate

Inactivate the catalog. Catalogs that are inactivated are not available for processing.

Retract

Manually retract a catalog that was published to the online stores. This action sets the status of the catalog to Expired and removes the product listings for the catalog from the online stores.

Description

Friendly name

The name of the catalog.

Owner

The name of the catalog manager who is responsible for maintaining the catalog.

Status

The status of the catalog. The following values are used:

  • Draft – The catalog can be modified. If you modify a catalog after it is published, the status of the catalog is set back to Draft.

  • Submitted for approval – The catalog has been validated and submitted for review, but it is not yet approved.

  • Approved – The catalog has been reviewed and approved. The catalog can now be published.

  • Rejected – The catalog has been submitted for review and has been rejected.

  • Published – The catalog has been published. Product listings have been generated and created in the online stores.

  • Expired – The catalog’s expiration date has been reached, the catalog has expired, and all product listings for the catalog are inactivated.

  • Inactive – The catalog is inactive and is not available for processing.

  • Deleted – The catalog has been deleted.

  • Retracted – A catalog that was published has been retracted. The product listings are removed from the online store.

  • Validated – The catalog has been validated by the system to make sure that all required attribute values are valid.

  • Validating – Validation of the catalog has been started but is not yet completed.

Effective date

The start date of the catalog. If a catalog is published by using a batch job, the product listings for the catalog are made available to the online stores on this date.

Expiration date

The end date of the catalog. Any product listings for the catalog that are created for the online stores are automatically removed as of this date.

Last published date

The date that the publishing process was last completed for the catalog.
