Additional consolidation accounts (form)

Click General ledger > Setup > Chart of accounts > Additional consolidation accounts.

Click General ledger > Common > Main accounts. Double-click a main account, or click Main account to create a main account. On the General FastTab, click Additional consolidation accounts.

Use this form to create and maintain consolidation accounts for a specified consolidation account group and main account. Each consolidation account must be unique for each consolidation account group and chart of accounts. For more information about consolidation account groups, see Consolidation account groups (form).

The following table provides descriptions for the controls in this form.

Chart of accounts

Select the chart of accounts that contains the main account for which to create additional consolidation accounts.

Main account

Select the main account for which to assign a consolidation account group and a consolidation account.

Main account name

The name of the main account.

Consolidation account group

Select a consolidation account group by which to classify the consolidation account.

For example, if you are creating consolidation accounts to represent a government-mandated statutory chart of accounts, you would group those accounts together. For more information, see Consolidation account groups (form).

Consolidation account

Enter a consolidation account number. This number must be unique for each main account and consolidation account group.

Consolidation account name

Enter the name of the consolidation account.
