Click Organization administration > Periodic > Configurator > Configurator layout groups.

Use this form to create configurator layout groups. A configurator layout group defines the file structure used to import or export data. When you create configurator layout groups, you must attach a configurator definition group to the layout group and define the layout. You can then assign the configurator layout group as an export or return layout group to a fiscal document type in the Export file layout group or Return file layout group field in the Fiscal document types form. You can also assign the configurator layout group as an export or return layout group to a customer or vendor method of payment in the Export layout group or Return layout group field in the Methods of payment - customers or Methods of payment - vendors form.

The following tables provide descriptions for the controls in this form.

Tabs

Tab	Description
Overview	Create and maintain configurator layout groups.
Layout	View the information for the layout group that is selected on the Overview tab, and define the delimiters for the Delimited layout type.

Buttons

Button	Description
Layout	Open the Edit layout form, where you can define the file layout for the layout group.
Layout export	Open the Export options dialog box, where you can export the layout group data to a specified location.
Layout import	Open the Import options dialog box, where you can import the layout group data from a specified location.

Fields

Field	Description
Layout group	Enter an identification code for the configurator layout group.
Name	Enter a name for the configurator layout group.
Layout type	Select one of the following options to indicate the type of layout: Delimited – The fields are separated by a delimiter. Fixed length – The fields have a fixed length.
Definition group	Select the identification code of a definition group to attach to the configurator layout group.
File structure	Select one of the following options to indicate the file structure for the layout group: Simple – You can define a single header, detail, and trailer for the layout. If this option is selected, then the Header, Detail, and Trailer options are available in the Record type field in the Edit layout form. Complex – You can define multiple headers, details, and trailers for the layout. If this option is selected, then the File header, Batch header, Details, Batch trailer, and File trailer options are available in the Record type field in the Edit layout form.
Delimited	Select one of the following options to indicate a delimiter for the delimited layout type: Tab – The fields are separated by tabs. Semicolon – The fields are separated by semicolons. Comma – The fields are separated by commas. Space – The fields are separated by spaces. Other – You can specify any other delimiter in the Other field. Note This field is available only if you select Delimited in the Layout type field.
Other	If you selected Other in the Delimited field, enter a delimiter to use to separate the fields.
Text qualifier	Select the text qualifier.
Export	Select this check box to use the layout group as an export format. Note If you select this check box, in the Methods of payment - customers and Methods of payment - vendors forms, in the Export layout group field, you can select the layout group for a method of payment that has the Configurable layout file export format.
Import	Select this check box to use the layout group as an import format. Note If you select this check box, in the Methods of payment - customers and Methods of payment - vendors forms, in the Return layout group field, you can select the layout group for a method of payment that has the Configurable layout file return format.
