Missing address space

Applies to: Exchange Server

Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 Setup displayed this warning because there is no Send connector in the current Exchange environment that is using an address space with the wildcard character of '*'.

The '*' character indicates that the Send connector can be used to relay messages to all external SMTP addresses. If no Send connector with an address space of '*' exists, mail flow to the Internet may not work correctly.

In response to this warning, configure a default Send connector with an address space that has the wildcard character '*'.

For more information about creating a default Send connector, see Create a Send connector for email sent to the Internet.
