How to: Create a Blank Solution

This procedure creates a new, blank Business Intelligence Development Studio solution.

To create a blank solution

  1. Open Business Intelligence Development Studio.

  2. On the File menu, point to Add, and then click New Project.

  3. In the New Project dialog box, expand Other Project Types, and then click Visual Studio Solutions.

  4. In the Templates pane, click Blank Solution.

  5. Optionally, edit the solution name and location.

  6. Optionally, click Browse to specify a different location for the solution.

  7. If source control software is installed on the local computer, optionally select Add to Source Control.

  8. Click OK.
