In Microsoft Integration Services, a knowledge worker fulfills the traditional "domain expert" role in business intelligence—someone who understands the data employed by a solution and is able to translate the data into business information. Often, the knowledge worker is the one analyzing the business to identify problems, opportunities, or project characteristics.
