How to: Access the Application Event Log
Notification Services writes events, including errors, warnings, and informational messages, to the Application log, which is accessible from Microsoft Windows Event Viewer. The following procedure shows how to find Notification Services events in the Application log.
To view the application event log
On the Start menu, point to Programs or All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Event Viewer.
If the Application log is not displayed, on the Log menu, click Application.
Notification Services events are identified by the value NotificationServices in the Source column.
To filter events, right-click the application log, point to View, and select Filter.
Select NotificationServices in the Event source box.
