How to: Unregister an Instance of Notification Services (SQL Server Management Studio)

When you remove an instance of Notification Services from a computer, you should unregister the instance. Unregistering removes information about the instance from the Microsoft Windows registry and deletes the instance's Windows service, if one exists locally.

To unregister an instance of Notification Services

  1. In Object Explorer, expand the Notification Services node.

  2. Right-click the instance you want to unregister, point to Tasks, and then select Unregister.
