Using Books Online (SQL Server Compact)

SQL Server Compact Books Online is the online documentation provided for SQL Server Compact. To access SQL Server Compact Books Online for Microsoft SQL Server Compact 4.0, install the documentation from the download site or from MSDN Online.

Books Online uses the Microsoft Document Explorer as the interface for Help documentation. You can find information in the following ways:

  • Search for terms, and filter the search results.

  • Browse or search for keywords in the Index.

  • Navigate the Table of Contents.

  • Browse a set of links related to common tasks (the "How Do I" section).

  • Press F1 while viewing a user interface element to display information about it.

The Document Explorer introduces new features to help users find information. The following table describes new and enhanced features in Books Online, and provides links to more information.
