Specify Naming Conventions (Schema Generation Wizard) (Analysis Services - Multidimensional Data)

Use the Specify Naming Conventions page to define the naming conventions that the Schema Generation Wizard uses when creating schema objects.

Options

  • Option
    Specify the naming conventions for the wizard to use. The following table describes the options you can specify.

    Description

    Separator

    Specifies the character that separates words in an object name. In the Value column, select Underscore, Space, or None. The default is Underscore.

    Primary key column prefix

    Specifies the string to prefix the name of each primary key column. The default is PK.

    Foreign key column prefix

    Specifies the string to prefix the name of each foreign key column. The default is FK.

    Attribute name suffix

    Specifies the string to be appended to the name of each attribute column. The default is Name.

    Custom rollup suffix

    Specifies the string to be appended to the name of each rollup column. The default is CustomRollup.

    Custom rollup Properties suffix

    Specifies the string to be appended to the name of each rollup property column. The default is CustomRollupProperties.

    Unary operator suffix

    Specifies the string to be appended to the name of each unary operator column. The default is UnaryOperator.

  • Value
    Specify a value for the option specified in Option that you want to use when the schema is generated.
