Returns one row for each cryptographic property associated with a securable.

Applies to: SQL Server (SQL Server 2008 through current version), SQL Database V12 (Preview in some regions).
Column nameData typeDescription

1 = Object or column
class_descnvarchar(60)Description of the class of thing on which property exists.

OBJECT_OR_COLUMN
major_idintID of thing on which property exists, interpreted according to class
thumbprintvarbinary(32)SHA-1 hash of the certificate or asymmetric key used.
crypt_typechar(4)Encryption type.

SPVC = Encrypted by certificate private key

SPVA = Encrypted by asymmetric private key

CPVC = Counter signature by certificate private key

CPVA = Counter signature by asymmetric key
crypt_type_descnvarchar(60)Description of encryption type.
