Registers the instance of Notification Services locally, and optionally installs the Windows service, for the Notification Services engine.

Parameters

  • installService
    true to install the NS$instanceName Windows service; otherwise, false.

Remarks

Any previously specified Microsoft SQL Server user name, password, and argument key is used when registering the instance.

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Microsoft Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
