How to Install Microsoft .NET Framework on the Web Servers

This topic provides steps for installing Microsoft .NET Framework on each Web server. You can select to install Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 with update or 3.0. Microsoft .NET Framework provides the programming model for building, deploying, and running Web-based applications and Web services.

To install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 on a Web server that has an x86 processor

  1. Start Internet Explorer, and visit https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=56645.

  2. Follow the instructions to download Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package (x86).

To install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 on a Web server that has an x64 processor

  1. Start Internet Explorer, and visit https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=67693.

  2. Follow the instructions to download Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package (x64).

To install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 on a Business Management server

  1. Start Internet Explorer, and visit https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=88138.

  2. Follow the instructions to download Microsoft .NET Framework Version 3.0 Redistributable Package. You can select to install the x86 or x64 version.
