How to install the BizTalk Adapter Pack 2016
Overview
The BizTalk Adapter Pack (BAP) is included with BizTalk Server. So when you download BizTalk Server, you are also downloading the adapters in the BizTalk Adapter Pack.
The BizTalk Adapter Pack uses the Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) to communicate with different enterprise line-of-business (LOB) systems. The BizTalk Adapter Pack has its own set of requirements, its own setup experience, and its own installation steps.
The BizTalk Adapter Pack is optional, and is only needed if you want BizTalk Server to send or receive messages to any of the following enterprise LOB systems:
- Oracle Database
- Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)
- SAP
- SQL Server
- Siebel
Every version of BizTalk Server includes its own BizTalk Adapter Pack version. Only the version included with your BizTalk Server version is supported. They are not backward-compatible.
