Remote Web Access Security
Updated: March 30, 2011
Applies To: Windows Home Server 2011
Windows Home Server 2011 uses a security certificate to help secure the information that is exchanged between it and the web browser on your computer. When you install the Windows Home Server 2011 Connector software on your computers, the Windows Home Server 2011 security certificate is added to the trusted certificate list for your computer. The best way to access your Windows Home Server 2011 websites while you are away from your office is to use a portable computer that you have added to Windows Home Server 2011 by installing the Windows Home Server 2011 Connector software on it.
If you access your Windows Home Server 2011 website from public locations or other untrusted computers, ensure that you log off of the website before leaving the computer unattended or when you are finished.
