Visio Connector for Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer

With the Visio 2007 Connector for Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer (MBSA), you can use the MBSA scan tool and then view the scan results in a clear, comprehensive Microsoft Office Visio 2007 network diagram.

How the Visio Connector for MBSA Works

When creating a network diagram manually, make sure the information is provided in the correct information in one of the following Shape Datas of each computer shape:

  • Network Name
  • IP Address

Once a network diagram has been created, the Visio Connector for MBSA displays a smart tag when you hover over a computer shape, enabling you to perform a MBSA scan from the diagram. Alternatively, you can import existing MBSA scan results using the MBSA menu.

The Visio 2007 Connector for MBSA displays color-coded results on the diagram that represents the baseline security status of your network. Detailed baseline security reports can be displayed in a report window by selecting an individual computer shape.

Compatibility

If you do not have MBSA 2.1 installed, you will be prompted to install it before you can use the Visio 2007 Connector.

Compatibility

MBSA version 2.1 is required to use the Visio 2007 Connector. If you do not have MBSA 2.1 installed, you will be prompted to install MBSA 2.1 before you can use the Visio 2007 Connector.
