Microsoft supports collaboration across the security community so that customers can take timely action to protect their customers while minimizing risk to the ecosystem.
Microsoft Active Partners Program (MAPP)
MAPP is defined by three phases:
MAPP Partners with Updated Protections
The Microsoft Active Protections Program (MAPP) is a program for security software providers. Members of MAPP receive security vulnerability information from the Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC) in advance of Microsoft’s monthly security update.
When MAPP partners recieve the vulnerability information early, they can provide updated protections to the customers via their security softwares or devices, such as antivirus, network based intrusion detection systems or host-based intrusion prevention systems.
